No grievance to be closed till complainant satisfied: DC

Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena has directed officials not to close a complaint until the complainant is satisfied.

The DC chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting where 15 complaints were listed. Nine complaints resolved while the remaining were kept pending.

Meena chaired the meeting in the absence of Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Rajesh Nagar. The DC added that no complaint will be closed based on the report submitted by an officer until the complainant is satisfied. Sometimes, the officer closes the complaint after obtaining a consent from the complainant, leaving the issue unresolved, he said. To address this issue, the Complaint Branch will close the complaint only after receiving feedback from the complainant.

Acting on a complaint of Jindal City residents, the DC directed that the Municipal Council should be informed about the presence of stray dogs so that they can be sterilised. He directed the Municipal Council to conduct a special drive before the start of the International Gita Mahotsav celebrations.

In a complaint raised by Sonu Narang, the Deputy Commissioner appointed Ladwa SDM as the investigating officer and asked the official to submit a report. The complainant had accused Food and Supply Department officials of adopting double standards for ration distribution and favouring one depot holder over another.

Responding to complaints of shopkeepers Umesh, Amar and Sikandar, the Deputy Commissioner directed the DMC to completely ban the sale of meat and other such items in the urban areas of Kurukshetra and Pehowa, which have been declared as holy cities by the government.

In response to the complaint of Bala Devi, a resident of Bodi village, the Deputy Commissioner stated that two committee members and officials have been appointed to hear the land dispute case. They will submit their report after hearing all parties.

Hearing the complaint of Satpal Singh, a resident of Bhukhari village, the DC stated that a project of nearly Rs 33 lakh had been prepared and submitted to replace the entire water supply pipeline in the village. As soon as approval is received, the pipeline will be replaced.
