Expressing displeasure over the absence of key officials from the review meeting of a Samadhan Shivir, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Preeti directed that show-cause notices be issued to five officials of different departments. The notices will be issued to the District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC), Executive Engineers (XENs) from the Public Health Department, Power Corporation, Guhla, HSVP and PWD Division-2. The officials were also warned that continued negligence may lead to disciplinary action.

“Five officials were absent from the meeting, so show-cause notices will be issued to them,” said the DC.

She directed the heads of these officials to issue show-cause notices while chairing the meeting at the Mini-Secretariat on Friday and issued directives regarding the functioning of Samadhan Shivirs, an initiative aimed at resolving public grievances effectively.

DC Preeti emphasised that Samadhan Shivirs and platforms such as the CM Window were crucial for addressing public issues and must be taken seriously. She instructed all department heads to attend review meetings every Friday and come well-prepared with updates on departmental grievances. Sending junior staff without proper briefing or documentation would not be accepted.

She further directed that unresolved complaints, whether from the Shivirs, the CM Window, or media reports, must be addressed promptly and transparently, with regular reports submitted to the DC’s office.

The weekly Samadhan Shivirs are held every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon and review meetings take place on Fridays, during which the DC personally assesses progress department-wise.
