On Thursday night, the CIA Nuh team received information that Jahul — who was wanted by the Mathura police and carrying a reward of Rs 15,000 — had illegal weapons with him and was standing at Palwal T-Point in Nuh.

Following the tip-off, the police team raided the spot and arrested Jahul. On searching, a country-made pistol and a cartridge were recovered from his possession.

A senior police officer said that apart from the Gangster Act case registered against the accused at the Baldev police station of Mathura, three separate cases of theft are registered against him in the Dabua and Ballabhgarh police stations of Faridabad.
