“On Monday night, the accused entered our house. First, they thrashed me. Later, they poured inflammable substance on my wife and set her on fire. After hearing her shrieks, our neighbours rushed Mubeena to the hospital in a critical condition,” said Sher.

Punhana SHO Jasvir Singh said, “Mubeena suffered 65 per cent burns and is undergoing treatment at the hospital. She is not in a condition to record the statement at the moment. Stern action will be taken against those involved in the incident.”
