In the first Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay tributes to former state minister Kanwal Singh, martyrs of Haryana and prominent personalities who expired between the period between the end of the previous session and the beginning of the present session.

Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions.

Opposition leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read out them out on behalf of the Congress party.

Tributes were paid to nine brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the motherland. These included Inspector Jagmahender Singh, Subedar Jangsher Singh, Havildar Satyawan Singh, Lance Naik Abhay Ram, Lance Naik Ashish, Leading Aircraftman Nitin Kumar, Paratrooper Tejpal, Sepoy Sanjay Yadav and Sepoy Ravinder Singh.
