He said that the officials concerned should ensure that the youths did not drive after consuming alcohol and took legal action as per rules to stop all these.

He said that information boards should be installed on under-construction roads to make drivers cautious.

The ADC also instructed all drivers to install reflector tapes to avoid accidents due to fog.

He said that it was the sugarcane season and reflector tapes should be installed on all trolleys of sugarcane.

“Blinkers have been installed at Chhabra Hospital, Santosh Hospital, Lal Dwara and the Chaneti road in the district. I also told officials to install blinkers near Buria Chowk and Samta Yog Ashram in Jagadhri,” said ADC Ayush Sinha.

He directed officers to install speed breakers on the T-point road of sector-18 and speed limit boards, besides putting reflector tapes on electric poles and trees.

“When a person loses life in a road accident, his family has to face challenges throughout the life,” he said.

He called for the presence of traffic police at Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk and installation of a signboard, stating 'drive slowly' near Lal Dang on the Paonta Sahib road.
