Dhesi directed the DMRC officials to submit the report to the HMRTC if any private or government land had to be acquired in the DPR prepared for the metro project.

Apart from this, if roads, electric poles or trees had to be removed somewhere, then a report should be submitted to the HMRTC, so that these could be removed in time and the metro work could be completed on time, the Principal Adviser directed.

He further directed a committee comprising HMRTC officials, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and SDM be formed regarding connectivity with the proposed metro station in Nathupur.

The committee along with the officials concerned of the district administration should visit the site and submit its report before February 23, so that the connectivity of the metro station to be built in Nathupur from Sonepat was good and the people did not face any problem in commuting, he said.

The extension of the Delhi Metro in Haryana would be more beneficial to industrialists, workers and the people commuting to Delhi and the NCR area. Kundli, Nathupur and Rai industrial estates are near Singhu border and Kundli. After getting the metro train facility, thousands of people would be benefitted.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Moda has approved the Rithala-Narela-Nathupur (Kundli) corridor of the Delhi Metro’ Phase-4 project, consisting of 26.463 kilometres.

This entire stretch would comprise 21 stations of which two stations would be constructed in Sonepat district.
