The government has mandated that the exchange of all official files should be conducted through the e-office platform.
Addressing a training session of e-office system for officials at Dr Mangal Sen Auditorium, ADC Jaluka emphasised the significance of the initiative and described e-office as an ambitious project of the government, periodically reviewed for its performance and impact.
“e-office is a digital workplace solution aimed at reducing paperwork and digitising office operations. It enhances transparency, accountability, and decision-making speed. The main benefits of the initiative are simplifying office operation, ensuring record safety and accessibility, promoting innovation in governance,” he said.
Jaluka urged the officials to use e-office daily and ensure that all file exchanges and approvals were conducted via this platform. He also stressed the importance of resolving files in a timely manner to maintain efficiency and accountability.
Trainer Sachin Kumar, who conducted the session, elaborated on the technical aspects of the e-office system. He explained that it ensured data security and integrity while strengthening a more productive work environment. Features such as file management, workflow tracking, digital signatures, and email integration were highlighted as key components of the system.
