The Old Railway Road from Sohna Chowk to Kabir Bhawan Chowk will remain closed for the next 30 days due to the sewer repair work. The Gurugram traffic police has issued an advisory with route diversion.

According to the advisory, sewer work is to carried out before Shiv Murti on the said road while going from Sadar Bazar Chowk towards New Colony route. This route will be closed for security reasons. Apart from this, the route going from New Colony Mode towards Rajiv Chowk will remain open for vehicles smoothly.

“Drivers wanting to go from Rajiv Chowk towards New Colony Mode, Sector 4/7 and the railway station can use the route via Jail Chowk, Bhuteshwar Mandir, Pataudi Chowk, New Colony Mode and then further towards Sector 4/7 and railway station. For smooth flow of traffic, the above route diversion will continue for about 30 days,” read the advisory.

Councillor Dalip Sahni said due to the breakage in two chambers and sewer line before Old Railway Road, Kabir Bhawan Chowk, the Nai Basti area got inundated, causing inconvenience to locals.
