On election eve, leaders focus on personal interactions with voters

A majority of the candidates went for door-to-door visits, engaged directly with voters and supporters in the final hours before polling. Several candidates also visited local religious places, offering prayers and seeking blessings for their victory. These visits were seen as a way to connect with the spiritual sentiments of their constituencies.
As they met voters, candidates expressed confidence in their campaigns and in their chances of winning the election. Many of them took the opportunity to highlight their plans and promises for the region, urging voters to ensure their victory.
BJP candidate from Karnal Assembly segment Jagmohan Anand, BJP candidate from Gharaunda Harvinder Kalyan, Congress candidate from Gharaunda Virender Rathore, Congress candidate from Karnal Sumita Singh Virk’s husband Jagdeep Virk visited Baba Lakkad Nath’s shrine at Bazida village to seek blessings for their victory.
Anand said he began his day by visiting the shrine, where he offered prayers and sought blessings of Baba Dharmanath and Baba Charan Nath, wishing for the welfare of all communities.
“People of Karnal have supported me a lot and I am hopeful of a victory by a huge margin. Our government has developed the state with the vision of ‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek. People will re-elect our government to ensure a good pace of development,” said Anand.
Congress candidate from Gharaunda Rathore said, “People of Gharaunda want change and they have decided to elect me and I will ensure all facilities without any discrimination.”
Sumita Singh, who met people while visiting their homes, said the people of Karnal had given two CMs, but both had neglected the city. Now, people want change, she said.
