The Gurugram Cyber Police have arrested a man who duped people by promising them jobs abroad. The police have recovered a mobile phone and a laptop from his possession and are questioning him. An FIR has been registered against the accused.

The accused, identified as Jatin Joshi, a native of Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh, was working with Novafy Company in Gurugram and lived in Ardee City, Sector 52, Gurugram.

“The arrested accused used to collect data of job seekers through a website, contact them, conduct interviews online, shortlist them and then send their details to his associates, who cheated them by taking money in the name of getting necessary documents made. We are questioning the accused and trying to nab his other accomplices,” said Priyanshu Dewan, ACP Cyber.
