A team of anti-vehicle theft cell has arrested a man and recovered four stolen motorcycles from his possession. The arrested accused has been identified as Munish Kumar, a resident of Jaidhar village, Yamunanagar district.

According to information, Rajesh Kumar, anti-vehicle theft cell in-charge, got information that a man would be going to Uttar Pradesh via Kalanaur village of Yamunanagar district to sell a stolen motorcycle.

Rajesh Kumar, anti-vehicle theft cell in-charge, got information that a man would be going to Uttar Pradesh via Kalanaur village of Yamunanagar district to sell a stolen motorcycle. After getting information, he formed a team which immediately started checking vehicles after laying nakas near Kalanaur village (border of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh).

Rajesh Kumar said during checking of vehicles, the team recovered a stolen motorcycle from the possession of a man, who was identified as Munish Kumar, a resident of Jaidhar village. He said during interrogation, four stolen motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the accused.

He further said the accused was already facing three cases of theft.

“Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh Bhoria, the anti-vehicle theft cell is continuously working to solve cases of vehicles stolen in the district,” he said. He said the accused was produced before a court in Jagadhri today which sent him to judicial custody.
