The theme of the month was the sacrifices of the Indian freedom fighters, who fought for India from outside the country. Professor Deepa Mangla, Dean, Students Welfare, was the chief guest of the competition. Seventeen students participated in the event. Vice-Chancellor Prof Baldev Raj Kamboj congratulated the winners and urged students to take part in extra-curricular activities.
Science exhibition organised
Yamunanagar: Students of St Lawrence International School, Bilaspur, displayed their talent in a science exhibition organised on the premises of the school. They displayed attractive models, charts and projects inspired. Inspecting the exhibition, noted educationist Dr MK Sehgal, chairman of the school, said to develop scientific temper among children, it was necessary that they should be made to participate in scientific activities.
Seminar on role of NSS
Karnal: The NSS units of Dyal Singh College organised a national seminar on “Role of the NSS in making India self-reliant”. The event was sponsored by the Director General Higher Education of Haryana. As many as 102 delegates from across the country registered for the seminar. Dr Samar Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Horticulture, Karnal, was the chief guest. Dr Anil Vashishth, Nodal Officer, Atma Nirbhar Haryana, was the keynote speaker. Sixty participants presented research papers.
