Addressing party workers at a function in Patak Majra village, the CM said, “The Opposition today, in the Centre and states, has no issues left. In such a situation, the Congress is spreading lies. The people of the country have completely rejected the Congress. Similarly, after Delhi, the people of Punjab are also ready to teach a lesson to the AAP.”

The CM also launched an 11-week-long cleanliness drive under the Swachh Kurukshetra, Mera Kurukshetra, Mera Abhiyan programme of the district administration. The CM also unveiled a poster of the Abhiyan, and administered the oath of cleanliness to the citizens and officials of Kurukshetra to launch the 11-week cleanliness mission from 24 August 24 to November 7 as part of Haryana Shahar Swachhta Mission 2025.

The Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh for development projects in the village.

Later, while speaking at the Krishna-Kashyap Kurukshetra Tirthatan-2025 organised by the Kashmiri Hindu Prakosth at the Gita Gyan Sansthanam, Saini underlined the deep cultural bond between Kurukshetra and Kashmir. He said the state government was committed to promoting the cultural and ideological heritage of Kashmiri Hindus.

Recalling the 1990 displacement, he said, “Lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus were displaced, but they never abandoned their karma. Their knowledge and determination established them on the global stage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi understood their pain and has created unprecedented schemes for the displaced. Under his leadership, many important steps have been taken for their rehabilitation.”

The CM said nearly two lakh Kashmiris were living in Haryana and contributing significantly to the state’s development.
