A team of the CM Flying Squad caught three overloaded trucks from near Radaur town of Yamunanagar district.

The team, along with members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Mines and Geology Department and Regional Transport Authority, checked several vehicles on the Yamunanagar-Kurukshetra road near Damla village on Monday afternoon and caught three overloaded vehicles carrying mining material.

The team handed over the trucks to staff members of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), who seized the vehicles and imposed a fine of Rs 3.16 lakh on the owners.

The team of the CM Flying Squad also raided a meat shop in Machhrauli village last evening.

The team members found that seven-eight persons were consuming liquor illegally at the shop.
