In Haryana, the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) Employees Federation has intensified its efforts to resolve long-pending issues with employees’ pay scales. Following a virtual meeting, the federation, led by state president Devinder Rana, state general secretary Bhagwant Sharma and state treasurer Fula Ram sent a letter to the Chief Minister.

The federation expressed dissatisfaction over no action to resolve pay scale discrepancies, despite the establishment of a departmental committee in 2018 and submitting of report in 2019. Devinder Rana said the Chief Minister’s 2019 announcement to address these issues was yet to be implemented.

He said, “The federation plans a major protest on August 28 at the residence of the Cooperative Minister in Panipat. The protest will include the state committee, district committees and all PACS employees.”
