Paddy scam in Karnal: 5 officials suspended

Director General Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has suspended five officials of the department for their alleged involvement in paddy scam in Karnal district. All five have already been booked in different FIRs registered in the district in connection with paddy procurement irregularities.

The suspended employees include Inspector Sameer Vashisth, Lokesh, Sandeep Sharma, Yashbir and Sub-Inspector Ramphal.

They have been attached to different offices of the department in the state and directed not to leave their headquarters.
