Paediatric Pulmonology Dept, ICU inaugurated at PGIMS in Rohtak

Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Dr HK Aggarwal inaugurated the Department of Paediatric Pulmonology and Critical Care and the ICU of the Department of Medicine at PGIMS, Rohtak, on Saturday.

PGIMS Director Dr SK Singhal and Medical Superintendent Dr Kundan Mittal were among those present at the inaugural ceremony.

Dr Aggarwal said the new facilities ensured the provision of high-quality medical care for children as well as adult patients, especially those suffering from lung and respiratory ailments. “These facilities will bring world-class health services to the residents of the region,” he said.

Dr Singhal said the residents of the state would benefit with the commissioning of these facilities. Dr Mittal said children in a critical condition were brought to the institute from all over the state.

Dr Sudhir Atri from the Department of Medicine said the 20-bed ICU would enable critical patients to get quality healthcare at their doorstep.

Ventilator facility would be available at 10 of the beds, he added.
