The Palwal police have arrested three persons of a highway robbers’ gang with illegal weapons, and recovered two countrymade pistols and cartridges each from their possession.

According to the police, a team of Palwal’s CIA unit arrested the trio on the Chhajju Nagar-Sailothi road on Sunday night while they were plotting a robbery. They were identified as Prince and Hubsy, both residents of Sailothi village, and Tushar, a resident of Hari Nagar in Palwal.

“The accused have been involved in several incidents of robbery on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway. The accused will be remanded in police custody,” said in-charge Deepak Gulia of Palwal’s CIA unit.
