Panel identifies 400 spots for road repair in Yamunanagar
A committee of officers has identified 400 spots in need of road repair in Yamunanagar district.
Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta has asked officers of the Public Works Department to take necessary steps to repair the 400 spots within two weeks.
According to information, a committee of 14 officers was constituted by Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta to inspect 675.275 km of roads in Yamunanagar district.
These officers inspected 558.675 km of roads falling under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department (PWD) of the district, and 116.60 km under the jurisdiction of the office of Public Works Department, Naraingarh (Ambala district).
Gupta said the committee identified the roads using GPS location technology.
“The committee of the officers has submitted a report about the condition of roads. Now, the officers of the PWD will start repairing the potholes on the roads,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
According to information, Gupta recently visited the Radaur area, where a road had been damaged by overloaded vehicles. He issued directions to the Project Director of the National Highways Authority of India to repair the road.
