Chief Minister Nayab Singh reviewed the progress of the programme via video conferencing with all Deputy Commissioners on Friday.
The Samadhan Shivir initiative was first launched during CM Saini’s previous tenure in June last year to ensure timely redressal of citizens’ issues. After the Assembly elections in October, the programme was relaunched. Initially held daily on all working days, the number of complaints gradually declined, prompting the government to schedule the Shivirs only on Mondays and Thursdays, starting April this year.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Virender Kumar Dahiya said efforts are being made to address public grievances promptly. “We have received 20,951 complaints, of which 18,472 have been resolved, 1,633 were cancelled with valid reasons, 504 complaints were reopened, and work is ongoing on 338 complaints,” he said.
The DC directed officials to continue resolving grievances on priority and maintain the district’s top position.
Statewide, a total of 1,32,417 complaints were received during the Samadhan Shivirs, out of which 1,13,625 were resolved, reflecting an overall resolution rate of 85.81%. The remaining complaints include 6,968 pending (5.26%) and 11,824 rejected (8.93%).
According to the data from the Samadhan Prakosth, Jind ranked second in grievance redressal, followed by Sonepat in third place.
