Panwar donates month’s salary, urges others to support flood-hit

Panwar said while the government is taking steps to assist the flood-hit, society must also come forward. “There should be a feeling among the people to help the affected families,” he said.
He appealed to elected representatives, officers and government employees to contribute “at least one day’s to one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.”
The Minister stressed the need for unity in the face of the crisis. “This is the time to show unity, to stand together with the government and administration. We must support families struggling due to waterlogging and floods so that maximum assistance can be provided,” he added.
Panwar also underlined the responsibility to help neighbouring states. “In this time of natural disaster, it is our duty to extend maximum help to the suffering people of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring areas, and to be partners in their relief,” he said.
He praised Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for extending Rs 5 crore each from the CM Relief Fund to Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir for flood relief.
