Health Minister Arti Singh Rao on Tuesday held a meeting with office-bearers of the Para Sports Association of Haryana to discuss the upcoming state-level and national para sports competitions in detail. On the occasion, the minister said the state government was committed to providing the best opportunities to differently-abled athletes in sports.

“Para sports teams will be formed in every district of the state on a priority basis so that talented differently-abled athletes can be identified and provided with training and proper platforms. Para sports will become a new identity of Haryana, and sports facilities, training, equipment, and competitive opportunities for athletes will be further strengthened,” claimed Arti.

A detailed discussion was held on the framework of upcoming state-level para sports competitions, and it was decided that the dates and venues for these competitions would be formally announced soon.
