Paras, a third-year computer science student at JCD Memorial Engineering College, Sirsa, has been selected as a minister representative in the Haryana youth parliament. An event in this regard was organised at JCD Vidyapeeth.

Jaiprakash, director-general of the institute, honoured Paras with a certificate and praised him. He said JCD aimed to support the all-round development of students — academically, socially and in leadership.

Varinder Singh, principal, Engineering College, said the selection process involved a written exam, group discussion and a personal interview.

He said the youth parliament helped students understand democracy better, and prepared them to take part in real-world decision-making.

Paras expressed his gratitude to Varinder Singh, Krishan Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and other faculty members for their guidance.
