A group of parents led by Jannayak Janta Party leader Yogesh Sharma, held a demonstration and locked the main gate of a private school in Sector 3, Kurukshetra, over alleged fee hike.

After getting information, police officials and a duty magistrate reached the spot and managed to pacify the protesters, following which the lock was opened.

Yogesh said, “There was no intention to lock the gate but the school management didn’t turn up to discuss the issue due to which the gate was locked. They are not following the government norms regarding the school fee. Now, a meeting has been fixed for Monday and if the matter is not resolved we will intensify the protest.” —
