While addressing party workers, Lather emphasised his commitment to strengthening the party organisation by working in accordance with the ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan’ (service is organisation) principle. “The faith that the state leadership and party workers have shown in me is a huge responsibility. I will try my best to meet their expectations by ensuring unity and collective progress,” he said.
Lather highlighted his experience at various organisational levels and recalled his active involvement during the COVID-19 pandemic, serving people while adhering to the party's guiding principle of service.
He assured the party workers that he would function in coordination with senior leaders, following the directives of the central and state leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, former Speaker Gian Chand Gupta praised Lather’s dedication, describing him as a grassroots leader who had efficiently handled various responsibilities within the party. “It is the hallmark of BJP workers to uphold the party's decisions above everything else. Lather is a hardworking and committed leader who will undoubtedly take the party forward in Karnal,” he said.
Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand said that under Parveen Lather’s leadership, the party would be further strengthened. He is a dedicated worker of the party.
Outgoing district president and Assandh MLA Yogendra Rana also congratulated the new district president. The outgoing officiating district president Brij Gupta praised the party for appointing a grassroots worker like Parveen Lather to the position. “It is only in the BJP that a grassroots worker can rise to the position of the district president,” said Gupta.
