Pass on GST benefits to consumers, Saini urges traders

He also asked them to participate in promoting the GST Bachat Utsav, which aimed to make goods and services more affordable. He said the initiative would boost trade and enable consumers to purchase essential items at lower prices. Cheap prices, growing trade, and a strong economy were the core spirit of the Bachat Utsav, he said.
Saini also urged the traders to focus on the production and promotion of indigenous products. By prioritising local goods, businesses could strengthen both domestic industry and the state and national economy.
Highlighting Haryana’s performance in GST collection, the CM said the net SGST collection increased from Rs 18,910 crore in 2018-19 to Rs 39,743 crore in 2024-25. Haryana had consistently remained the leading state in GST collection with the support and efforts of its business community, he added.
