Though the mandate for forming the government in the state will be known on October 8, the speculations and demand for the share in the power has started surfacing.

Neeraj Sharma, the outgoing Congress party MLA from the NIT segment in the district, is perhaps one of those candidates who have been aspiring to get the post of the Deputy CM in case the party storms to power in the elections this time.

The matter surfaced during the election meetings in which Sharma said if the things went smoothly he might be one of the candidates who could get the chair of the Deputy CM as the party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda has already announced that one of the elected MLA from the Brahmin community is likely to get appointed at this post after the party comes to power.

Sharma said though he had not made any such demand at any public platform, the expectations had come from his supporters and local residents who wanted him to be Deputy CM. He said while he had been the soldier of the party, the party high command would decide the role he had to play after the Congress came to power.

Meanwhile addressing a meeting at 60 feet road locality last night, Sharma claimed that while the people had failed to get even the basic civic amenities, he said the Congress would resume all development works that had not been launched so far.
