Resident doctors of PGIMS, Rohtak, who had been on a strike since August 13 in protest against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at a medical college in Kolkata and to press for the provision of adequate security arrangements on their own campus, have ended their agitation.

As per an official statement, the Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) of the PGIMS decided to end its strike and resume duties with effect from 10 pm on Saturday. “All demands pertaining to campus security have been duly addressed and amicable solutions have been reached,” said the statement. Meanwhile, the PGIMS authorities have decided to condone the strike period of the protesters.
