A dedicated toy room has been set up at the paediatric OPD, which was inaugurated by Dr HK Aggarwal, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. He lauded the efforts of PGIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Kundal Mittal for this thoughtful addition.
“We often see children crying and becoming restless due to the crowd and waiting times in the paediatric department. The toy room, equipped with a variety of toys for children aged 1 to 6 years, will help keep them engaged, making their check-ups more comfortable,” said Dr Mittal.
He added that the facility was designed not just for recreation, but also to contribute to the emotional well-being of child patients. “Our goal is to provide a stress-free, home-like environment in the OPD and wards so that children can recover faster.”
Dean Dr Ashok Chauhan, emphasised that the toy room offers a safe space where children can spend quality time with parents while receiving medical care.
