Dr Rakesh Kumar Goyal, Principal, College of Pharmacy, Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, went missing from his home on Thursday.

Before he went missing, he had posted a suicide note on a social media group, in which he alleged that his predecessor and an assistant professor at the college were trying to implicate him on false charges.

Dr Goyal’s family members informed the police and efforts are being made to trace him.

He, however, remained untraceable till late in the evening.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
