Hisar, July 28
Haryana Finance Minister JP Dalal has said that a work plan was in progress to construct a greenfield expressway from Delhi Airport to Loharu via Jhajjar, Dadri and Bahadurgarh.
He said, “A survey is being conducted to lay a railway line from Jhajjar to Loharu via Dadri. There is another proposal to establish a direct train route from the newly constructed airport in Hisar to Delhi.”

Addressing a press conference in Charkhi Dadri yesterday, Dalal praised the Union Budget while stating that the Centre had been formulating long-term policies which would further take the country on the path of development. He said, “This Budget has been presented for the benefit of the poor, women, farmers and youth, among others. Haryana has received significant benefits from this Budget.”
“Plans are also being made to upgrade railway stations, including those in Dadri, Bhiwani and Loharu. The government’s effort is to eliminate all railway crossings and replace these with overbridges or underpasses,” he said.
The Finance Minister said, “The Budget includes plans for the welfare of farmers. There is a special focus on increasing farmers’ income by producing and exporting crops abroad. For Haryana farmers, work is already underway on production, processing and packaging based on Rs 3,000 crore agreement with Japan. Haryana is the first state in the country where most crops are sold at the MSP. Work is ongoing on 32 agricultural and 109 horticultural varieties in the state. Special attention is being given to ensure crop production, farmers receive good prices for their produce and have access to high-quality seeds,” he said.
He said the Central Budget particularly focuses on providing facilities to farmers, along with employment and infrastructure development. He said, “The Budget primarily aims to increase employment and develop infrastructure. In every aspect, this is a long-term Budget under which the nation’s development will gain momentum.”
In response to a question, Dalal said the Congress government had always betrayed the people of the state. “The work of the Congress was solely to sell jobs, whereas our government provides jobs to eligible based on merit,” he alleged, while adding that the BJP government had worked for the welfare of the poor by transforming the system.
He said the Congress tried to scare people in the last Lok Sabha elections in the name of the Constitution reforms and farmers’ issues, but the people of the country again showcased their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
The minister said since the Aam Aadmi Party’s government was formed in Punjab, they had outrightly refused to give Haryana its share of water. “On what basis, can the Aam Aadmi Party seek support from the people of Haryana,” he questioned.
