BJP’s Haryana chief Mohan Lal Badoli confirmed the programme and said elaborate preparations were underway to ensure its success. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the state-level programme on October 17. People from across the state will be invited to participate. The Prime Minister will also gift several projects to Haryana on this occasion,” he said.

Ahead of the event, Badoli, along with Commissioner of Police Mamta Singh and Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan, visited the venue to review arrangements. The team inspected the helipad, VIP route, main venue and parking areas, giving instructions to the officials concerned to ensure that all preparations are completed well in time.

Badoli directed the departments to maintain strict timelines and leave “no room for any shortcomings” in the arrangements. He also instructed officials to begin cleaning work at the site immediately.

ADGP Mamta Singh, who reviewed the security arrangements, said extensive deployment of police personnel would be ensured at the venue and surrounding areas. “Surveillance will be done through drones and CCTV cameras so that there is no inconvenience of any kind,” she said, adding that crowd management and traffic control will receive top priority.

Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan said the district administration had already prepared a comprehensive plan to manage security, traffic and parking arrangements. “All departments are working in close coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme,” the DC said.

The event at Rai is expected to draw large crowds from across Haryana, with local party leaders and workers mobilising people for the rally. The occasion will not only highlight the BJP government’s achievements over the past year but also set the tone for the party’s roadmap for the coming months.

Officials said multiple committees have been formed to oversee logistics, crowd management and emergency services to ensure the Prime Minister’s visit proceeds smoothly.
