In the view of the SC ban imposed on 10-year-old diesel and 15-year-old petrol vehicles in the NCR, the police has launched a special drive not only to make the public aware of the SC order but also motivate them not to ply such vehicles as these were a serious threat to the environment.

Under the drive, the police teams will spread awareness at taxi stands, auto markets, vehicle sales centres and other public places. Simultaneously, enforcement drives will be started and vehicles flouting norms will be impounded. — TNS
