Police nab third accused in triple murder case
In the triple murder case in Yamunanagar district, the police have arrested another suspect, identified as Harsh Bali, a resident of Gandhi Nagar Colony in Yamunanagar. With his arrest, a total of three persons have been arrested in the case.
The incident took place on December 26, 2024, near the police post in Kheri Lakkh Singh village, where Virender Rana (32) of Golni village in Yamunanagar and Pankaj Malik of Uttar Pradesh were fatally shot. Another victim, Arjun Rana of Unheri village, sustained serious injuries and later succumbed at a private hospital in SAS Nagar on December 29.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the murders through a viral Facebook post.
A team from CIA-II apprehended Harsh Bali in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the case. “The accused was presented before a court in Jagadhri on Tuesday and he has been remanded in police custody for five days,” a CIA-II official said.
Earlier, the CIA-II team had arrested two other suspects, Sachin Handa and Arbaaz Khan, in connection with the case.
The investigation into the triple murder is underway and the authorities are working to uncover further details and establish the conspiracy behind the triple murder.
