The incident occurred at the house of murder bid accused Mohit. An FIR was registered against Mohit on June 21, but he continues to evade arrest. Following a tip-off, a police team from the Bhondsi police station, led by ASI Satyvender, conducted a raid at the house of Mohit along with eight other cops, including a woman head constable.
“When we reached the house of the accused, his father Santram, brother Pankaj, mother Santosh and wives of Mohit and Pankaj were standing at the door. Mohit was inside the house. When we said we want to search the house, Santram threatened us. When the police forcibly entered the house, Pankaj started abusing us and blocked the way to stairs. Meanwhile, Mohit jumped off the roof and fled. More police personnel were called and Pankaj was detained,” an ASI said.
