Police procure 7-day remand of two members of criminal gang
Two allegedly members of a criminal gang were on Thursday night produced before a court in Jagadhri. They were remanded to seven-day police custody.
A team of the police had arrested the accused, Jasdeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh of Bal Chhapar village of Yamunanagar district, while attempting to loot a vehicle and use it for murdering someone.
The police team recovered three country-made illegal pistols and several live cartridges from their possession.
A case was registered against the accused under sections 312, 313 of the BNS and 25 (7) (8), 54, 59 of the Arms Act at the Chhappar police station on February 12.
According to information, after receiving a tip-off, the police team raided a room near tubewell near the village on Tuesday night.
When the police team asked them to surrender, they tried to run away, but they were caught by the police team.
