Police seize heroin worth Rs1 crore in Sirsa, three held

DSP Sanjeev Balhara told the media that officers recovered around 524 gm of heroin during raids at two locations on Monday. The CIA team seized 263 gm heroin from the Civil Lines police area, while the remaining quantity was seized from the Rania police jurisdiction. All three suspects are of similar age; one is from Sirsa’s Chandigarhia locality and another from Rajasthan.
According to Balhara, the arrests were made near Bani village and close to the railway line in Sirsa. The suspects were travelling in a car and on a motorcycle when the police intercepted them.
In a separate operation, the police detained three more men near Brij Bhangu while they were travelling in a car. Officers recovered two pistols, 17 cartridges and a 12-bore gun from the vehicle. Balhara said the three men are from Brij Bhangu and were reportedly involved in a local dispute.
