He was speaking after handing over 100 barricades to the Kurukshetra Police on behalf of the Naveen Jindal Foundation at the SP Office on Saturday.

Jindal stated that crime had decreased due to the police’s innovative initiatives, programmes, and proactiveness. The police presence and initiatives were making people feel safe. The trust between the police and the community had increased, which could reassure people of justice and security. He urged the public to cooperate with the police in making the programmes successful.

The MP said the youth of the Lok Sabha constituency should participate in sports activities. Within a year, sports equipment and gym equipment would be made available to the youth in approximately 900 villages of the parliamentary constituency.

He urged the police officials to run a continuous campaign against drug abuse, and raise awareness among the youth about sports, as the youth who participated in sports would always stay away from drugs.

Kurukshetra Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal said the police were working closely with the public and social organisations to raise awareness about safety and justice. The police are also running special campaigns to raise awareness about cybercrime so that people would be safe.
