Haryana: Policy for logistics parks, agro-warehouses unveiled

The Haryana Government has come out with a new policy for setting up multi-model logistics parks, integrated container depots, agro-warehouses, cold chain facilities and gas godowns.
A minimum area of 100 acres will be required for setting up a multi-model logistics park, while minimum 50 acres will be needed for an inland container depot.
For a logistics park, developers will require 25 acres. However, for warehousing with retail facilities and truckers parks (up to a distance of 2 km on/along the national highway) 10 acres each will be needed.
The mininmum area needed for an agro-based warehouse will be 2 acres, followed by cold chain storage (0.5 acre) and gas godown (0.18 acre).
Ticketing machine room, cloak room, toilets, wireless stations, security and generator rooms will be allowed in these establishments. The warehouses will have to reserve 15 per cent area for parking.
In trucker parking lots, 10 per cent of the site area with 150 floor area ratio (FAR) will be used for restaurant and retail shops, fuel station, repair and service station.
