Presiding over a meeting of civic body officials, MC Additional Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the implementation of poll code in the ensuing elections Balpreet Singh said compliance with the MCC would be ensured seriously.

He asked the officials present at the meeting to ensure that all political publicity material is removed from public places on priority.

He said if political propaganda material was found on autorickshaws or other vehicles, FIRs would be registered against the owners and the vehicles would be confiscated by the police.
