Poll code: Paris Olympics athlete’s felicitation ceremony rescheduled in Rohtak

Chandigarh, August 17
The felicitation ceremony for 2024 Paris Olympics medal winners and participants at the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, has been cancelled for Saturday, the Haryana sports department officials said.
The officials said with the announcement of assembly elections in the state, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force due to which the function had to be cancelled. A meeting of the officials was held in Rohtak on Friday evening in which the decision was officially communicated, sources said.
A Haryana sports department official based in Chandigarh confirmed the development.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was scheduled to honour the Paris Olympics athletes.
