The Karnal Smart City Ltd (KSCL) had beautified the areas under seven flyovers on NH-44 by spending a huge amount of money, but these areas are not being maintained well. The money spent on the project has gone down the drain, as is proved by bent poles, dried plants and broken marble at these sites. Officers responsible for the upkeep of these sites should be held accountable so that these sites do not become an eyesore. —Sagar Mehla, Baldi (Karnal) defacement of Public property

I N a bid to grab the attention, political parties and private institutions have been defacing public properties with posters and hoardings in the district. Notices of vacancies and health clinics can also be found pasted on electricity poles, pillars under the bridges and walls. The municipal council should initiate action in this regard. —Sunil, Kurukshetra

Waterlogging at Dhani Shobha

Residents of Dhani Shobha village in Rewari district are facing a tough time due to the accumulation of dirty water in the main street. Villagers are forced to wade through the dirty water, and the street will turn into a breeding ground for mosquitoes if the water is not drained out. The authorities concerned should resolve the issue at the earliest.
