Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Narendra Kumar has instructed officials of the power corporation to immediately rectify faults in the power supply that were developed due to excessive fog or rain so that people do not face any problem.

The ADC issued the directives while hearing public grievances at a 'samadhan shivir' here on Monday. He directed officials of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to supply drinking water regularly. He said that wherever there is a leakage in sewerage or drinking water line, it should be repaired at the earliest.

The ADC instructed local heads of all government departments to prepare a report of the action taken by them on the problems received at the camp. “Whatever action is taken by the department, it must be updated on the portal,” he added.

On Monday, 39 residents reached the shivir with their issues pertaining to old age pension, drinking water, family identity card etc. The ADC gave necessary instructions to the officers concerned for quick redress of problems.

“It is not necessary for residents to submit typed complaints. The problem can be written by hand on a simple piece of paper. The complainant should write his/her contact number and attach necessary documents along with the application related to the issue,” said the ADC.
