Chandigarh, July 29

The Haryana Government has notified the ‘power tariff subsidy’ scheme under the Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy 2020 with the view to ensure affordable power supply to enterprises located in the state.

An official spokesperson said the scheme would be applicable with effect from January 1, 2021. The enterprise will be eligible for this benefit till it remains in production.

The spokesperson said enterprises would not be required to apply for availing the benefit. The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN/ DHBVN) will provide this benefit by deducting the subsidy amount in the electricity bills. The amount of power tariff subsidy granted by UHBVN/DHBVN will be reimbursed by the MSME Department from its allocated budget.
