A section of Sikh community members today held a protest against the BJP, after Pehowa BJP candidate Kawaljeet Singh Ajrana surrendered his ticket and Jai Bhagwan Sharma replaced him.

They said that pressure was created in the name of party workers demanding a local candidate but Jai Bhagwan Sharma was also not a local candidate.

They burnt the effigy of Chief Minister Nayab Saini and Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha. The protesters alleged that Ajrana was pressurised by the BJP to surrender his ticket and they will boycott the BJP in the election.
