Quiz competition held on Acts against sexual harassment, corruption

The Anti-Corruption Cell, Internal Complaint Committee and the Legal Literacy Cell of Dayanand Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Kurukshetra, recently organised an online quiz.

The topics of the quiz included the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act (2018), Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act (2013) and cybercrime.

A college spokesperson said the primary objective of the quiz contest was to create awareness about different Acts enacted by the government to curtail sexual harassment cases against women, to combat corruption by criminalising bribery, and the different ways to secure the digital world.

The quiz aimed to provide students with a broad conceptual background of these topics.

As many as 494 students participated in the quiz.

Principal Dr Upasana Ahuja said such competitions enhanced the mental ability of students.

She congratulated the winners and participants.

Priti Gupta of the BSc (2nd-year) course clinched the first position, Alisha of the BA (1st-year) course secured the second position and Alisha of the BSc (2nd-year) course stood third.

Savita of the BSc (2nd-year) course bagged the consolation prize.
