Kurukshetra, January 6

The Rajasthan Police have arrested a woman assistant sub-inspector posted in Kurukshetra, in connection with a car stealing case.

The ASI has been identified as Kailash Kaur and the said case was registered at the Pallu police station, Hanumangarh, in Rajasthan.

SP Astha Modi said, “Our sources told us she, along with her accomplice, had stolen a car and later sold it to a garage owner in Mohali. We coordinated with the Rajasthan Police and arrested her. We have also recovered the stolen vehicle.”

“Kaur was booked in Kurukshetra too in connection with an extortion case in 2017. The said case is being investigated by the state crime branch, Rohtak.” the SP said. — TNS
