Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the state pavilion at the mahotsav on November 24. The next day, on November 25, PM Narendra Modi will arrive to participate in the "maha aarti".
Public participation in the mahotsav is increasing, and this time, over 70 lakh people are expected to visit the festival.
A government spokesperson said the mahotsav has been underway in Kurukshetra since November 15, and with the cooperation of the Ministry of External Affairs, Gita Mahotsav celebrations are being organised in 50 countries. This time, Madhya Pradesh has been included as the partner state.
He said on November 24, a three-day International Gita Seminar would be inaugurated at Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Sadan, Kurukshetra University. A massive cleanliness drive is also being carried out across the city.
