In a significant political shift, Ramit Khattar, nephew of former Haryana chief minister and current Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, has joined the Congress party. The move took place in the presence of Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra.

Ramit’s defection is seen as a notable setback for BJP, especially given his familial ties to the prominent Haryana leader. This development may have implications for the state’s political landscape.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
